How Long do they last?
The Markers rated for 300 meters of continuous use which provides you a vast amount of ink per marker.
Does it bleed though the paper?
Alcohol markers tend to bleed through any paper except for special marker paper. I suggest using a sheet of marker paper behind anything you are doing and to not use these for double sided things, unless you're making it to have the same colors in the same places on the other side of the paper.
Are they very streaky when the colors overlap? And are the colors too bright?
Customer Answer: They don't steak really which is why I bought them. I don't think they are too bright. I use them for coloring. Alot like a permanent marker.
Does it work on canvas?
You’d better not. Canvas would be a rough surface for those markers.
Are they odorless?
Customer Answer: I don't think any alcohol markers are completely odorless, but these are very mild. You don't really notice the smell unless you're really up close to your work * like don't have the right prescription eye glasses*. I have multiple chemical sensitivity which makes me have an extreme sense of smell but these don't bother me at all.
How to store the markers?
Since they are alcohol based markers, caps should be tightly closed in case drying out.
Review from customers:
Pretty good color range and saturation. Definitely worth the price
The markers are juicy and don't streak on the paper.
They are all going strong and deserve to be your most heavily used markers.
I have Copic, Prismacolor, Tombow, Arteza, Ohuhu, and now Shuttle Art alcohol markers. THE COLORS IN THESE ARE FANTASTIC. I cannot stress this enough. Also, if you already own the Arteza 120 pack of alcohol markers, there is almost no exact color overlap with these, so between the Arteza 120 set and this set you can have so many more colors for not much money. In particular, this set has SO MANY PASTELS compared to other sets available. they are the 100-series colors.
In particular, I love 104, 172, 143, and 144. I have attached a color swatch sheet to show how good the pastels are and how good the variety is. The nibs hold up well enough, and I haven't tried it but from the looks of it the Arteza replacement nibs might work in these. I've also attached a design of mine that I colored in only with the Shuttle Art markers. I love these and will definitely buy them again as I use up markers because for the price, it's 110% worth it! The colors in these are a bit more vibrant that Copics (which tend to have more subdued colors overall), less saturated on average than Arteza and Prismacolor, and are fairly similar in saturation/vibrancy to the new range of Tombow ABT Pro markers.
